I ended up on 5×8 cards instead of 3×5s and the size of the thoughts got bigger. Alas, it takes now 15 minutes to capture them.

Aha, it gets better –
If you end up on 5×8 quadrille cards, you can tile and layer them to make bigger designs, big enough to show an entire page. Use overlapping cards to expand on the concepts and ideas in the blocks of the original layout.
A card that took 15 minutes to write took about 2 minutes to present as part of a narrative.
